As we are in tax season, it’s crossed my mind that there could be some apps that would benefit members in getting ready for taking their business expenses to their accountant. It may be too late for this year, but hey, there’s never a better time to start for next year than now, right? We have some great apps that can help on REpurposedApps, the free resource for members to share apps and get app recommendations.
Shoeboxed – Keep Your Receipts Organized.
Ever have a hard time keeping all your receipts in order? Do you have them squirreled away in a shoebox somewhere? Shoeboxed is an app that does it for you. REALTOR® Shannon King added this app to REpurposedApps and here’s what she said about why she likes it:
I use this one to capture all my receipts and business cards. All I do is snap a picture and it’s uploaded to my account. They sort and organize it all for me so all I do is each quarter download and send to my CPA.
Much simpler and cleaner, no? This app is available for both iOS and Android and it’s free.
MileBug – Mileage tracker
Rob Mehta recommended MileBug because he says it’s:
Absolutely the best mileage app. Tracks multiple vehicles, reminds you to close out your log at the end of a trip. Reports can be emailed from the app in an excel format and ready to go to your accountant!
Another user of the app, Jeff Cronin, left the following comment:
Milebug is excellent for tracking mileage for mulriple purposes. I use it to track mileage for my real estate business, a consulting business and two different volunteer organizations activities. Its easy to setup and use. And its easy to add trips I forgot to track with the program.
MileBug is available for iOS and Android – There is a cost for the app, but if it streamlines your mileage tracking, I feel it would be worth it.
So, no matter if you’re tracking your mileage or your expenses, REpurposedApps has apps for you.
