Block Annoying People on Google Mail, and More, in Five for Wednesday

  1. There’s been much talk this past week about blocking ads, but blocking annoying people is even better. Google’s new version of Gmail sends emails from people (and companies) you don’t want to receive straight into the junk folder. Alas, Android and Web only.
  2. Don’t care about the new iPhones? There will be new Nexus phones next week.
  3. Don’t care about the new Android phones? Here’s a thorough review of the iPhones 6S.
  4. A 23-feet tall tower (called the Smog Free Tower) can purify a lot of air: a million cubic feet of air an hour, to be exact. Mexico City, Paris, and Beijing are all interested.
  5. The Wall Street Journal created a bit of a stir when they asked “Do Individuals Need Cyberinsurance?” Slate does a fine job of explaining why you might want to spend your money elsewhere.
